These are a collection of possible awards and their accompanying ribbons. Even though TNG and consequent Star Trek series have not shown their characters displaying Ribbons on their uniforms, the Medals are nevertheless still awarded. Explanations and criteria for awarding particular medals are given below. INCOMING CHARACTERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE MEDALS. Medals are a reward for good role-playing. Only in very special cases is an incoming player to have an existing medal(s) and on those rare occasions, it is through special permission of the GM.

Characters aboard the Dallas-A that have received Medals have previously had them listed in their Character Biography under "Decorations". Now, you will find the corresponding Ribbon under their name and photo. Ribbons are worn with the dress uniform on the left breast, directly underneath the Starfleet Comm. Badge.

In order to receive a medal in the Taskforce 121 SIM, your department head will recommend you at the end of the Mission. The Medals are then awarded by the Game Master or an Assistant Game Master and added to your bio. Order that the Ribbons appear on uniform is at the bottom of the page.
