The first USS Dallas (DD-199) was launched 31 May 1919 by Newport News Shipbuilding Co. She served various roles in the US
Navy throughout the 1920's and 30's. She was placed out of commision in March 1939. With the outbreak of World War II
in Europe, the Dallas was recommisioned and was part of the US invasion in North Africa in 1942. LAter that year, the Dallas
was recalled and assigned to convoy duty during the rest of the war. She was finally scrapped in 1946, but the ship had
earned a Presidential Unit Citation and 4 Battle Stars during its World War II service.
The second USS Dallas (SSN-700) was a US Navy Los Angeles-class nuclear attack submarine carrying a crew of approximately
120 enlisted men and 20 officers. The Dallas is homeported at Subase New London in Groton, Connecticut. Dallas is a
nuclear powered fast attack submarine built by Electric Boat Division of General Dynamics
Corporation. Her keel was laid on October 9, 1976. She was launched on April 28, 1979 and placed in Commission on July 18,
1981. She served until the beginning of the 21st century when she was scrapped and replaced by more modern submarines
The third USS Dallas (NCC-52214) was a Miranda class starship that was commissioned in 2365. Under the command of
captain Harvey Detering, she was placed in the 5th fleet near the Romulan Neutral Zone. She was destroyed during the
battle of Wolf 359.
The fourth USS Dallas (NCC-74606) is an Intrepid class starship that was commissioned in 2377. Under the commaned of
commander Freya Pos, it has been assigned to Taskforce 121 of the 11th Fleet to explore the Anora nebula sector.
